Recreation Center
Located on East Avenue, the Recreation Center is the heart of the Park District of La Grange and once you step inside, it's easy to see why. From the La Grange Fitness Center and indoor walking track to three full-size basketball courts, an aerobic studio, and an indoor playground, there's something here for every age and every goal. It's also home to the Chicago White Sox training facility and offers banquet and rental rooms, making it as much a community gathering place as it is a world-class recreation destination.

La Grange Fitness is a state-of-the-art 6,700 square foot facility where friendly, knowledgeable staff make everyone feel right at home. With top-of-the-line Precor cardio and strength equipment, Queenax functional fitness gear, two group fitness studios, a walking track, and full locker rooms, it's everything you need in one place. New members even get a complimentary orientation and Kick-Start consultation to help them hit the ground running.

Sedgwick Park & Activity Building
At 23 acres, Sedgwick Park is La Grange's largest and most versatile community park. The kind of place where there's always something going on. Baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis and volleyball courts, basketball, and a multi-sport court mean athletes of every stripe have a home here, while the activity building buzzes with dance classes and La Grange University Preschool programs. Whether you're here for a league game, a walk on the path, or just to soak up the energy, Sedgwick has a way of making everyone feel welcome - and with more renovations coming in 2026, it's only going to get better.

Gilbert Park & Activity Building
At nearly six acres, Gilbert Park is home to one of La Grange University Preschool's classrooms, three tennis courts, a soccer field, a T-ball diamond, a playground, and a walking path that ties it all together. There's something here for nearly every age, from the littlest learners to weekend athletes. Exciting renovations are on the horizon beginning May 2026, so the best is still yet to come.

Lacey Community Center & Community Park
Newly reopened in February 2026 after a thoughtful renovation, the Lacey Community Center is a bright and welcoming hub for the whole community. A beautiful plaza with a wood pergola sets the tone outside, while inside, a renovated kitchen and a versatile multi-purpose room with a roll-up door make it an ideal space for classes, events, and gatherings of all kinds. Out back, Community Park lives up to its name - a one-acre space with a multi-sport court, pavilion, and playground that bring neighbors together to play. It's a fresh new chapter for a longtime La Grange favorite.

At 10 acres, Denning Park offers a little bit of everything - soccer fields, a basketball court, a playground, a shelter, and a walking path that invites you to slow down and take it all in.
