For nearly a century, the Park District of La Grange has maintained the parks, powered the programs, and brought the community together - one season at a time.
Nearly a century of parks and play
The Park District of La Grange serves approximately three square miles aligned with the Village of La Grange boundaries and unincorporated Cook County to the southwest. We maintain 67 acres of parkland across 12 locations - from neighborhood parks to the Recreation Center and community gathering spaces.
For nearly a century, we have been the backbone of outdoor life and community programming in La Grange. From summer camps and youth athletics to senior socials and fitness memberships, the Park District touches every generation. We are governed by an elected Board of Commissioners and supported by a dedicated team of full-time and seasonal staff who make it all happen.

Elected to serve La Grange
Five commissioners elected by residents to four-year terms. The Board meets monthly to oversee Park District operations, set policy, and approve budgets.
